About the Subject:
The mobile phones have created a revolution in the communications in today’s world. While every youth is bombarded with the ill effects on the health of the user of the mobile phones, does this information, in any way, impact the usage of the phone by the youth? How does mobile affect the relationship of the user and her/ his close relationships? Rakesh and his colleagues wanted to find this out.
Challenges & Learnings:
All these researchers were from Kalyan and had been participants in the Youth Fellowship program during the previous year. Despite this background, they found many new things about this process in the second year of their participation.
Conclusion:
Their research revealed some very alarming findings. One was the distance it had created between the youth and their family members. Second was the fact that for many youth the mobile had become a status symbol instead of a tool for communications. Many were using the mobile to watch pornographic movies.
End Product:
They created very innovative and funny posters depicting various usages of the mobile phones by the youth.
