About the Subject:
From their personal experiences this group felt that the initial few years after starting the career are very stressful for the youth. Many decisions need to be made after careful reflection on many issues which influence such decisions. Many things in later life can be deeply affected by one wrong step taken during this critical period. This group decided to document the stresses faced by themselves, their friends and others who are in new careers after finishing education.
Challenges & Learnings:
When reflecting on the problems faced by these groups of friends, it gave them an opportunity to introspect their own ability to face challenges in life in a constructive manner. The predicament they ran into was related to the fact that one meeting was never enough to gather these rather personal reflections and they had to meet their research subjects over and over again to get a total picture of the issues.
Conclusion:
The research revealed that today’s youth, although facing a lot of stress, is not bogged down by it and seems to have developed constructive ways of handling the stress and finding out solutions to the problems.
