About the Subject:
In India the unorganized sector is the largest group of workers who face abysmal working conditions. The private sector which employs majority of these workers is least bothered about their working conditions, their rights and their security of any kind. They face severe exploitation but cannot create organized movements against this exploitation. The researchers, a few of whom were workers in the unorganized sector themselves, were keen to document what is the reality of life for these workers.

Challenges & Learnings:
Time management was their biggest challenge. Because most of them belonged to the unorganized sector, they were called at many odd times for work and could not find time to take the process of research to a conclusion. Despite this, they met many union leaders and learnt a lot about their legal rights and facilities but they could not avail of them due to ignorance. They faced difficulties getting the interviews but the process of research enhanced their knowledge, honed their communication skills and articulation power.

Conclusion:
They could not reach the conclusion phase of the research due to their inability to sustain the group activities.
