The urbanization processes are leading to decreased interactions between nature and human beings. In established community like Girangaon, many large trees occupied a special place in the lives of the community, where people conducted meetings and other rituals around some trees which were the landmarks. Today these trees get cut during the process of redevelopment. How do people in the community react to such incidents? How does of loss of such a space affect their mindset? This was the subject of research for Dilip and his group.
Challenges & Learnings:
Everyone faced some resistance during interviews which was overcome with perseverance. They also realized the importance of Team work and participation during this process.
