About the Subject:
Environment has become a serious topic of discussion in all media circuits and gatherings of all kinds. Many international seminars are organized but how about the homemakers? Do they ever realize that a few small things they do at home can harm or help environment in a significant way? Are they conscious of the environmental issues in their immediate surrounding? Urvi Shah and her friends were keen to find that out.
Challenges & Learnings:
They were faced with the attrition problems some due to divisive opinions and others due to time management issues. But those who remained in the group were determined to complete their research in the best way. They worked hard, learnt the techniques of not only interviewing people but also listening to what the homemakers had to say. They completed their report despite their final exams which were close to the submission of their reports. This was a clear indication of their dedication to their subject and research practices.
Conclusion:
These girls were pleasantly surprised to find out that the women were acutely aware of the issues of environment, irrespective of their educational levels. The electronic media gets the credit for making them aware of these issues.
End Product:
These young women created posters which showed their conclusions in a dramatic fashion.
