About the Subject:
These days the youth is often accused of aping the western culture and value systems and forgetting their own culture which has been bequeathed to them by a traditional parenting and societal morals. This group of young students from a college in Vidya Vihar wanted to find out the truth.

Challenges & Learnings:
The focus group discussion involved screening of many movies which had depicted the traditional value system. These screenings were followed by debates involving the difference between values, morals ideals and ethics. Through the questionnaire many values which were important to the youth were evident. Most group members became experts in social science research methodology!

Conclusion:
The results were very encouraging for the group. It revealed that the youth value their family and like to share their feelings with their families. The youth lack charismatic inspiring leadership in many fields but their parents or their teachers become their role models. They possess certain value system and they use it as per the need of the hour.

End Product:
This group created a snake and ladder game using various values as reaching points. This was a great innovation for them.
