About the Subject:
Everyday one comes across severe criticism from every strata of the society regarding incidents which depict Human Rights Abuse. But when activists or clients actually take up these cases and approach the Human Rights Commission, the hurdles they face are enormous as per the experience of Sanket and his lawyer colleagues, some of whom wish to pursue careers in the Human Rights law. Therefore they decided to do a full-fledged research to find out whether their experiences bore some validity.

Challenges & Learnings:
This was a difficult and rather unique topic for research. During the debates about Human Rights Commission, many aspects of their working were discovered but when the relationship between the client and the Human Rights Commission was explored, there was great difficulty in getting the right information from the client for fear of exposure.

Conclusion:
It was discovered through their research that Human Rights Commission had an insensitive relationship with their clients and the time for resolution of any case was inordinate!

End Product:
This group created a small booklet giving useful information regarding Human Rights Commission working cases and how to approach the HRC for fighting such cases.
