Dear Youth Fellows,
As some of you may have finished your first adventurous year of association with PUKAR and some of you might currently be in the process of completing your research topic
We hope that you’ve enjoyed the process of raising important questions about the city we live in and learned new skills along the way.
For those of you who are interested in continuing your relationship with the Fellowship programme, PUKAR is proud to introduce the Advanced Youth Fellowship project and invite you to apply for the same.
This advanced level is specifically aimed at those who would like to learn more about research, probe with deeper questions and are willing to read articles, learn to question the status quo, formulate arguments, want to analyze issues in-depth, and use the internet as a new resource for research and action.
Requisite:
* 1 dedicated day a week for the research process
* Work in a group of a minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 fellows including you
* You must work on your previous research project and build on one component of that project thus deepening the study
* Research costs will be compensated after every term similar to the Basic Youth Fellowship
* The group should be ready before the application process [that is why you are given plenty of time to think through and form your groups carefully]
* You have to work with mentors assigned to you for the entire year.
* The research output is mandatory for every project
Schedule:
* The Advance Research Fellowship programme will start on July 2011 and go on till June 2012.
* The 1st term will focus on proposal writing, forming your research question and design of the study, learning new and deeper methodology.
* The 2nd term will be devoted to data collection and documentation.
* The 3rd term will be devoted to analysis, writing and uploading.
Application Process:
* Application forms are available online as well as at PUKAR office.
* Applications duly filled in, must be submitted to PUKAR before 31st March 2011. Please contact any YF Team member for queries and further information.
* Interviews will be held in the month of April. Announcement about the selected groups will be made on 15th May, 2011.
* The selected groups will start their projects by 1st of July 2011.
