In May 2005, the Gender & Space project joined women\’s groups to protest against the rape of a student by a policeman on Marine drive and the violence perpetuated against women in general in public space.

The protest also included a performance \’One Night Stand\’ with Jasmeen Patheja of the Blank Noise Project.
